“It's a neighborhood gem. LOVE it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

I've never had even a mediocre meal here. I go there at least once a month. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Make sure you have the calamari (the dipping sauce is over the top good.) If you don't want a chain and you like intimate, French inspired food ... you're sure to be satisfied. P.S. HAVE the Pommes Frites and spoil youself.

“Nice surprise for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012 via mobile

Found this place in an online food blog. In Charlotte for a wedding and just out shopping for the day. What a nice surprise. This place is great! Lamb sausage in pita was excellent. Poulet & Frites were just perfect. We really enjoyed this restaurant in an old comfortable house.

“Always an Excellent Meal with Excellent Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

The Pommes Frites are to die for ! One order was not enough--again, so we ordered more! Service is always excellent every time we dined here. I ordered the Fettuccine a la Carbonara and it was excellent--it was hot until the last bite. The sad news--this was our last visit due to oue daughter's relocation to NYC. We enjoyed lunch here over the years along with dinner. If you want a great meal with excellent service, LULU is the place!

“Good food, good price, and good drinks”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

We asked a friend for a restaurant suggestion that had good food and drinks at a good price. We did not want a fancy restaurant. This was spot on! The food was good. We shared pate to start. I had the roast chicken with fries, good but not the best I have had or even close. My husband had a Nicoise salad, that was also good. We split dessert, bread pudding, also good. We each had a cocktail and a glass of wine. Wine list is good at good prices. Sorry about saying good so many times, but it wasn't bad or very good.

“Overpriced and bad meal”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

Went to Lulu during Sunday brunch, but opted for a salad. After what took forever to get my meal, what I ended up with was lettuce with one "overnight tomato," essentially a sundried tomato, and a mustard vinagrette that tasted like pure garlic . With four shrimp (which had turned cold before being served), the cost came to $16! I'm talking four shrimp and some lettuce and one measly tomato. It tasted terrible with that garlic dressing and the waitress looked at me as though that's how it's always served. She was completely unapologetic. Never again.
