Giving this place a "Terrible" rating is still over-rating the location. We were told that check-in could occur as early as 10:00 am with rooms being allocated on a "first come-first serve" basis. Reservations had been made months in advance requesting a non-smoking room. To ensure we could get this room type, we were told to arrive early. Upon arrival, we received our non-smoking room complete with malfunctioning air conditioner, moldy bathroom walls, lamp with lightbulbs needing replacement and sticky carpet. We pointed out the problems to the front desk and were told that someone would be by the room to check it out. When the staff personnel arrived at our room, he proceeded to "fix" the a/c by removing the filter from the unit and said "it was slower than the new units and needed more time to cool the room". (FYI: The cover to the a/c unit was not secured and would fall off it you got too close). Since the heat was in the 90's all weekend, we requested to be put in another room with a properly working a/c unit. We were denied and did not have any other lodging choices due to all the hotels being booked for race weekend. The bathroom tub and shower tile/grout were painted over with a white gloss paint but the faucet and shower fixtures were rusty along with the toilet paper holder. The bottoms of the bathroom walls were moldy and had some sort of mold spore pod emerging from the door frame. After a few hours, it erupted leaving spore residue on the floor. The bathmat was stained and you had to keep your shoes on not only in the bathroom but also throughout the entire hotel room. The faucet for the bathroom sink sprayed water toward the back of the sink basin. The refrigerator had a small freezer which was in such need of defrosting that you could not fix anything in it. The ice was literally a few inches thick. The website states there is an olympic size swimming pool. What we found a pool the size of what most people put in their backyard. Also, there is an "inn-credible" breakfast each morning....complete with breakfast items that needed refrigeration to prevent spoiling. The sausage biscuits were sitting in a pan on the counter at room temperature in addition to the waffle batter and cream cheese. I have never encountered a place with as many problems and sanitary issues as this one. The Country Heart Inn on Equipment Drive in Charlotte will only make you want to stay at home next time.

Went down to Charlotte for the NASCAR race over Memorial Day weekend. We knew lodging would be difficult to find near Lowe's Motor Speedway. We found this hotel and, based on their website, it looked like a great deal. WRONG!

Our bathroom walls had mold on the bottom and looked like it had not been cleaned in months, the tub was painted with the same paint was the walls, the air conditioner took 24 hours to cool off the room (per the management), the bath mat was stained, 2 lamps needed bulbs put in them, and the freezer portion of the refridgerator needed cleaning. The management refused to move us to another room because they were "booked up". The person who took our reservations said it would be 1st come, 1st serbe for those who have reservations. There were several rooms that did not have anyone checked in yet, but yet they would not exchange rooms. This place needs to be avoided at all cost.

From the very beginning we felt we had made a seious mistake staying at this property. The woman who helped check us in was very pleasant but the man at the desk (identified himself as the owner) was rude and insulting to the staff.

We had two rooms (another couple traveling with us) were dirty, stained, mildewy, no working fridge or microwave (although they were in the room) the tub did not drain, the beds were nasty and the carpet was so dirty you could not, in good conscience, walk barefoot in the rooms. We have never stayed in a place where we truly felt we were in a dump until this occasion. What disturbed us the most is that we were referred to this property by a company called Vroomz - an outlet for nascar lodging. They were way off base using this property for race fans.

We try our best to research the properties where we stay but there was not sufficient evidence to make us feel this was such an awful property. We try our best to avoid such places - we now know better than to stay here again.

I am relocation to Charlotte from Florida and needed to book a hotel in order to find a house. I found Country Hearth Inn online and thought it looked nice so I booked it. When I got there it was such a dump. The pictures online are completely different from the actually place. The website says "exercise room"...what a joke. That room was horrible. My hotel room was okay...there was water damage on the ceiling that was dripping down onto the lamp next to the bed. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were horrible. The TV was being propped up by a phone book and I was unable to let my child walk around the room becuase I was afraid the TV would fall on him. The noise in the hotel was ridiculous. All hours of the night we heard people screaming and we heard club music going on from downstairs. We were woken up every night by people talking on there phones outside our room. And one night we could here people doing the hibidy dibidy. It was horrible. THE STAFF ARE SO EXTREMELY FRIENDLY THAT I FELT BAD COMPLAINING. The breakfast was okay. I wouldn't consider it "inn" credible as they call it. I would not recomend staying here to anyone.
