Forth Ward is a historic downtown neighborhood inside the I-277 loop in Charlotte, NC. While many older homes downtown were demolished and replaced with skyscrapers and apartment buildings, much of Forth Ward retains its charm. The tourism board offers maps with self guided walking tours, and much of Fourth Ward can be seen in a few hours. Other historic neighborhood in Charlotte include the Noda arts district, and Southend, which is served by trolley and light rail.
