I had heard great things about this place so one Friday night I tried it out with a friend. The atmosphere I think is what draws most people as when the weather is nice they keep the front doors open and it is a funky watering hole. I ordered the original fish tacos that were like fried cod fish and they were kind of greasy and tasteless. I wasn't really into the sides they served either...all in all nothing real impressive. That's all we had, so to be fair maybe other menu items are much better. I just thought if that was their "original" basic fish taco....hmmmm...
Most places do them better than this when it's not their staple menu item.
On a positive note, while we were waiting (45 mins) we sat next door at a place called, "Dolce Vita". LOVED this place and would've stayed if they had food. It was a wine/beer bar with a guitarist playing tunes. Nice comfy couches all around in a dark, funky NYC atmosphere.
