Although not the greatest looking place from the outside, once you walk through the front door, the Red Sea Restaurant takes you away to a wonderful part of the world. The Ethiopian decor is the second thing to hit you, because your nose will have already been assaulted with the unique smell of faraway aromatic spices.
I have lived in the Middle East for many years so I like to try off-the-path places and this place did not disappoint. I ordered the Ye Beg Tibs (spicy lamb & veggies) and my wife had Tibsi Derho (spicy chicken & veggies). This, and a nice side salad comes served to you on a massive round plate that is first covered with Teff...a sort of very light flatbread that is eaten along with your meal.
We ordered the spicy choice...you can get these non-spicy too.
Folks...do yourselves a favor and go experience this place...order a cold beer and anything from the menu and you will walk away full, happy and astonished at the bill.
To say the food was wonderful is an understatement. It was out of this world!
