We first discovered Wolfman Pizza at the lake near University while visiting Charlotte to see if it was a place we could relocate to. After we made the decision to move here we ate at Wolfman's quite often that first year (Park Rd.). Wolfman Pizza has something for everyone, of course the pizza with all kinds of topics and different sauces (try a regular cheese with pesto sauce, is delicious!), salads and sandwiches. My brother enjoyed his small shrimp pizza while we chowed down on our plain cheese. The crust is chewy but not overly chewy like some of the chain restaurants. They also have what are called Take and Bake pizzas that are pre-made and frozen. You just heat them up when you get home.
The locations differ heavily in what they offer. Park Rd. has a large bar and tons of big screened TV's. The location on Providence Rd. is a bit smaller, no sit down bar and not a lot of atmosphere. If you head up to the University (Northern Charlotte) the Wolfman sits on a lake. All seem to offer outdoor seating.
You can sometimes find coupons in the Creative Loafing newspaper which can save you some $$$, as the pizza isn't as cheap as your national chain, but it is worth it now and again.
