We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past couple of years and the service and rooms get progressively worse. This past weekend, it hit an all-time low! On arrival (Friday at around 6pm), there were two people working the registration desk with approximately 10 guests waiting to check in. In the room, there was a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom that appeared to have make-up on it from a previous guest. On our second day, we returned to the room in mid-afternoon to notice that our room had yet to be serviced. I call guest services to find that you must now request for your room to be serviced...you do that by placing the reverse side of the "Do Not Disturb" card on your door. Oh, that card that we didnt have in our room. After 2 calls to Guest Services and an hour and a half later, our room was finally cleaned. To top the weekend off, my incidentals were charged to both my credit and debit card and the process of fixing that resulted in dealing with two extremely rude people in the Accounting department...only for them to discover that they were in error! I will likely NEVER return to this hotel! Pathetic representation of the Westin name!!

I am 13 years old and I had my birthday party at the Westin,Charlotte.My experience was amazing!!! I had a sleepover with 12 girls.We went to the indoor heated pool and had an amazing time,it is bueatiful!!! Its very warm and everyone had a great time! We also went to their bueatiful resteraunt and had a great time. Everything on the menu was fancy so my mom ordered for us but the food was delicious!!! I wish I could have some now! My room had an amazing veiw and the furniture was modern with a plasma TV! Now what more could you ask for?! I couldnt even believe my eyes when I stepped into my bathroom,I wish I could live there!!! I highly recommend that you visit charlotte and stay at the Westin! It will be worth your while!

I stayed at this hotel for two reasons...hotel name and convenience for business. It cost over $500 for three days and they wanted $5 extra a day to use the pool or gym. I had one bar of soap in the sink and I asked housekeeping to leave me another for the tub and an extra cream for the coffee as one was not enough to lighten my coffee. I received neither! For an upscale hotel they do a very poor job. I will not stay at this hotel if ever in Charlotte again.

Stayed at the Westin for a tradeshow for a week in Jan. I found the staff to be very pleasant. There were only 3 things that did bother me somewhat---as I work in the hotel industry they were part of my pet peeves:
1) The knob on the lamp by one of the beds was missing (in my colleague's room across the hall she had 3 burned out lightbulbs) so used the 2nd lamp by the bed
2) In most hotels, if you hang up your towels (don't leave them in the tub or on the floor) then housekeeping knows you are going to reuse them (I'm just 1 person in the room) but everyday the towels were replaced though I hung them up
3) The bath amenities were not consistently replaced---we found this to be the case in all 3 rooms we had reserved. One day you got double shampoo or the next day you didn't get any soap.
To be fair I did not leave a note for the housekeeper or let the front desk know my issues until I left--I did leave a comment card--because it didn't bother me that much as we were gone much of the day every day anyway. I know that one of my colleagues did leave a note for the housekeeper about replenishing the coffee, coffeecups, and bath amenities however. Otherwise the rooms was clean and seemed well maintained.
