We stayed this Sun Suites for two nights for a family reunion. Unfortunately, because we reserved thru Hotwire we didn't know the hotel name until after we had committed so we couldn't research on Trip Advisor. I am contacting Hotwire to ask them to please remove this hotel from their list so no one else has to end up here.

We are not overly picky people, and can ajust to a lot, but this was asking too much. If this is rated #116 out of 166, I don't want to see what the remaining 50 hotels are like!

We arrived and the office was closed. Fortunately my husband found a doorbell and rang it, but no where does it say you are to do that. A guard came to the door (guard??). He gave us the key. We entered the room and it reeked of urine. The sheets, floor and bathroom appeared 'clean enough' so we stayed-but with no desk clerk, who would we complain to? The paint was peeling inside and outside, kids playing outside at 11:30 at night (loudly), someone reving his car engine early in the morning....

Since it is extended stay, there is no maid service, no shampoo, no anything.

Do not ever stay here. There was absolutely NOTHING redeeming about it!

I am not sure who all I should contact here. I rented a room with my finance at the Sun Suites Hotel on Independence, while waiting for my apartment to be ready. One of the staff members used the hotel key to get into my room and put feces and urine all over everything. When we informed the manager about it, we were just told that all they could do is give us a free night. I was actually shocked that a business could get away with such a thing.

I am relocating to Charlotte from Pittsburgh,Pa. The staff is very nice here and the service is good. (FREE clean towels mid week and at the end...also when requested.)O.K. rates they are about 60 a night and around 300 weekly...you pay for the convient location to shopping, dining, I-77 and 485. My advice for business travelers is to get an upstairs room. For obvious reasons such as noise from the above guests and the noise from cars and people in the parking lot. (You WILL know who comes and goes). And there are tiny frogs that come from a nearby creek when it rains i.e. may hop into YOUR room... So request the 2nd or 3rd floor and enjoy your stay. I love it here.

We have recently stayed at the Sun Suites Hotel in Charlotte. The room served the purpose for our weekend. We were in town to attend the CIAA events. The rooms are small and would not recommend for more than 2 people even in the double suites. Rooms were clean and well kept. Would not recommend for families.
