This place is a steal for $90. It's walking distance or a quick drive to some trendy bars, and about a 10 minute drive from the arts district in NoDa for some restaurants and live music at night. The rooms are gorgeously decorated and extremely clean. I stayed in a studio with my sister, and it had a double bed, pull-out couch, recliner, desk, dining table, refrigerator, kitchen and stove, vanity and of course a toilet and bath. And a flat-screen television and high-speed internet access (a cord, not wireless).

One of the light bulbs went out, and within a couple minutes of calling the front desk, someone came by to replace the light. The complimentary breakfast is pretty awesome, with everything from your typical collection of cereals, bagels and donuts to a waffle station, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, coffee, tea, juice, muffins, yogurt parfait, you name it. They also have a full bar available for evening socialization. The staff is also pretty friendly.

We only stayed here for a night, but it was definitely worth it.

We recently stayed at the Residence Inn Uptown Charlotte for the Coca Cola 600 Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was great. We were within walking distance of the Speed Week Street Festival and within a 20 minute drive to the track.
The hotel offers a manager's reception Monday thru Thursday of free beer, wine and food. A wonderful breakfast buffett is also offered every morning. Hot foods... not your typical continental breakfast.
We had booked a studio room w/ a pull out couch for my son. The room had a full size refrigerator, a dishwasher, a 2 burner stove and a microwave. The refrigerator was great for all of our "beverages" for the race.
The staff was very friendly and accomadating at all times.
Parking was $10 a night, which I thought was ridiculous since you can park yourself in the garage for $6 a night., but we used it anyway.
A free shuttle is also offered, but during the Speed week festival, it was very busy, so we walked. It was only a few blocks.
The hotel is located right next to the Carolina Panthers stadium so it would be a great place to stay for the football games.
Would definitely stay here again for the race.

This hotel is located near the stadium and is downtown. We had a great studio room on the 9th floor. The queen bed was very comfortable. A comfortable couch and chair and full kitchenette rounded out the room. A hot continental breakfast is included. Staff was very attentive and efficient.

We needed a room for just one night downtown/uptown Charlotte. I was pleasantly surprised at the space, decor and cleanliness of our room! It was definitely more than what we needed for one night.

The complimentary breakfast was decent. They also have a manager's reception/cocktail hour in the evenings during the week. Currently the hotel is experiencing some renovations so there is no restaurant/bar on site, however there is room service from 5pm-11pm nightly and a little convenience "store" with snacks and drinks.

The only negative is the parking. The hotel charges you $10 a night for parking in an attached public parking facility. If you are not staying at the hotel parking is only $5!

Overall my short stay exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay at this hotel for an extended period of time.
