We booked this hotel as part of a race package for the Coca Cola 600 over Memorial Day weekend.

In general, the property was clean and neat. The front desk personnel were polite and friendly. The food staff did a pretty good job at breakfast but we had to ask for replenishments of coffee and some of the foods each time.

The hotel seems to be undergoing a renovation, judging from the construction materials in the parking lot.

Our room had some deficiencies, which we brought to the attention of the front desk. They were not remedied. The room was missing a TV remote (it had two TVs). The icemaker was lacking a bin for ice so we couldn't have ice in the room. I didn't find any cooking pans so the stove was useless.

Last, of the five pillows, three smelled musty and had a disagreeable odor. This is first time I've encountered such a problem and it was a bit of a gross out, wondering how the pillows got that way. The housekeeping staff need to perform the sniff test occasionally.

We were placed in Room 102, which was right next to an exit. It got noisy when guests were arriving and departing. I would recommend requesting a room farther way. Also, the hotel is under the flight path of the airport and although the noise wasn't that bad, it is noticeable.

We stayed here for one night before we flew to Europe, for one night the day we returned from Europe, and one night before we flew from Charlotte to Albuquerque. I complained about the same problems each time, and each time got appologies but no improvements, so this hotel will not get any more chances. In short, the room was dirty, the breakfast was cold and the OJ was water with no concentrated juice, the coffee pot was heated from the previous day. The mattress was ancient and the bottom sheet kept coming off so I was laying on that unsanitary mattress, like thousands of guests before me. The noise in the hallway was caused by a sporting team or family of screaming little monsters whose parents had not taught them to be considerate of other people sleeping behind those walls, and the hotel manager would not intervene to ask them to be quiet, so I had to do it, and I am not quite as pleasant at 1:30 am as I am during the daytime. When we arrived for the 3rd night, the hotel receptionist said we did not have a reservation at all! We stayed here multiple times because we could afford it, we were supposed to get frequesnt flyer points, and because we didn't want to inconvenience a B&B family by arriving and leaving in the wee hours.
Don't stay here if you like to get sleep at a clean hotel. It was miserable to sleep there for $160 total after taxes.

We stayed here for one night while attending the Food Lion Auto Fair at the Motor Speedway. The suite was clean, with a small kitchen stocked with dishes, pots, cutlery and with a refrigerator, microwave oven,small stove and coffee maker. The supplied coffee and tea, both regular and decaf, and popcorn. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows and nice linen. The living area was comfortable with a lounge chair and small sofa. There were two TVs and a VCR player attached to one of them. There was also a small dining table and four chairs.
The suite was upstairs and had a nice view of the lake (man made) but where you could fish and walk down onto the dock.

Breakfast was served in the lobby from 7:30 until 10 and surprised us by including not only cereals, juices and toast but also scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles.

The hotel was older and could use some updates but on the whole was comfortable and clean and fine for an overnight stay.

We had only one problem and that was someone had set the alarm clock for midnight and left it turned on. It went off as it was supposed to and startled us out of that fuzzy state just before you fall soundly asleep.

Overall this was a good place. It was difficult to find - and there is NOTHING nearby in regards to shopping, dining... there is a gas station/convenient store next door - but that's it.

Check in was quick and easy and the staff was nice. The room was very nice and clean, however we had some problems. My husband had a cold and wanted to sleep on the pull out. There were no sheets and he called down to request linens @ 8PM. At 9:15 I went to the lobby and the clerk admitted she forgot and sent someone up rightaway. Next I found that the two bedside lightbulbs were burnt out. I went down myself to ask for lightbulbs - but someone was sent up a short time later. The biggest inconvenience was that the toilet quit flushing late that night. I didn't want to use it again the next morning so I used the lobby bathroom on my way to workout. When I left the fitness center I spoke to a manager who gave me the key to an adjoining room so that we could use that bathroom to get ready for that morning. We were only there for one night and hoped to get out EARLY so having to use a different bathroom did cause some delays -- but it worked. It would have been nice to be offered something off the room for the inconvenience - but that didn't happen.

Overall the hotel is very nice -- but if problems arise - you may have a wait.

I would probably NOT stay here again simply because I prefer to be near restaurants, shopping... we were hoping to go out nearby to watch a football game that evening and the staff couldn't suggest anywhere in the area. We drove around for 30 minutes and found only fast food...
