What a treat. We booked two rooms while visiting Charlotte for my sons birthday. What a nice place. The location was great and the staff was fantastic. I wish I had noted the name of the gentelman at the front desk, as he was very kind and really made us feel at home (Look for his black & white eyeglasses). If you valet park you will be greated by an outstanding group of people. We self parked but they went out of there way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were very well appointed and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and loaded with pillows. The bathroom was sparkeling clean and my favorite feature most people may not notice. There was an air return in the bathroom that constantly and quietly drew the steamey air & oders out of the bathroom. The A/C was perfect and quiet.

I stayed in this hotel for my birthday. It was really amazing. We had a junior suite, and it was very big and wonderful. It is in a very great location in downtown Charlotte. Lots to do! The staff is amazing! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and Im sure that i will go back!!!

Great place to stay, my wife and I stayed one night in one of the junior suites (triangle shaped room). Check-in and out process was fast, room was really clean and staff was great. Two minor complaints we had:
1. could have used a larger tv and
2. our room overlooked the Wiskey River Bar (Dale Earnhardt Jr) and the sound of the music could be heard a little...did not bother me but bothered my wife a little but because we are NASCAR fans and JR was connected to the bar we could live with it.
We ate breakfast in the resturant near the lobby, $15.00 for the buffet but it was well worth it, really good food and convenient.
All in all it was a great stay and we would recomend it to anyone. It's located downtown and we were there on a Saturday night so very little traffic but imagine it would be somewhat busy during the week.

Stayed 4 nights in late December. The OMNI Charlotte has an unbeatable location in downtown Charlotte. Everything is nearby, within walking distance. Our room was ok, but a bit "old". My guess is some of the rooms had been renovated, but not ours. Hotel was 100% full because of the College Football Bowl Game, but the staff did not seem overwhelmed. Great lobby area as it is adjacent to another building and a few shops.

The Omni is located in positon A+ for activities in downtown Charlotte. It is next to the Bank of America complex, a block from Bobcats arena and many restaurants are within a 2 - 3 block walking distance. All in all the hotel is OK, but know that there are some major drawbacks. The hotel restaurant is dark, dingy, small and terribly expensive. Come on Omni, make some effort to make this miserable spot more attractive. The sink in the bathroom is "stand alone" -- no place to put your toiletries; however they do provide a small stand on the other side of the bathroom.

When attending an event at Bobcats arena, the hotel elevators are overwhelmed before and after the event -- wait time can exceed 10 minutes. Overall, this is an OK property, but it is showing signs of age.
