Stayed here for one night. Hotel was overall a pleasant experience with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. There is a free continental breakfast and the hotel provides a shuttle to and from the airport.

I would suggest this hotel for families or for a quick stay. Nothing over the top at the hotel, but a good solid room and comfortable bed that is sufficient for the basic stay.

I stayed here for one night following a long International flight. The staff could not have been kinder to an exhausted guest.

The hotel is completing a major renovation. It feels like a brand new Hampton Inn. The bathrooms are completely redone, even the pool is new.

Only problem I had is that the shutte bus does not pick up at the airport where all the other hotels do, so it was hard to find them.

Otherwise a great stay.

This hotel is in a beautiful area of Charlotte and is very convenient; however with that said, I believe that the prices are a little steep for what you receive in return. It's not the Ritz Carlton. The hotel is undergoing renovations, which is not mentioned anywhere on the website, nor was it mentioned by the hotel staff at check in. The rooms on the back side of the hotel overlook construction debris and dumpsters. While the drilling and banging doesn't begin until 9 AM and is generally over by 5 PM, one has to endure the construction staff tying up the already slow elevators as they wheel out large pieces of old furniture.

The new rooms are beautiful, but they are also lacking in some areas. The suites need chairs in the bedrooms and the bathrooms need some sort of towel bars installed so you don't have to fling your towel over the shower curtain rod. Also, the cable television could be beefed up with additional channels. The TV's are hooked up to Time Warner cable, but only receive a limited selection of channels. A great deal of focus was given to the flat screen Dell TV's (one in the living room, one in the bedroom) and the high-tech TV that's built into the bathroom mirror. Further attention needs to be given to the little details.

The desk clerk at check-in could have also been a little more accomodating and friendly. NO mention was made of the Hampton 100% guarantee, no mention was made about the hotel's amenities, where the elevators were located, etc. Also, this is the first Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at that doesn't have the "breakfast to go" in the brown paper bags available. Once the construction is finished and common areas are remodeled (hallways are very dated and worn looking), I think it has the potential to be a 4-star hotel with some better attention to detail. I'd stay there again once the construction is over.

  • Liked — Convenient location and nearby shopping & dining
  • Disliked — Construction, value received for the money

BEWARE. The folks here are very friendly. But we received incorrect and ultimately contradictory information about important issues and encountered many minor hassles.

We reserved three rooms for three days, a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Because one of the three families included an 18 month old, I called the hotel itself to find out if construction would be going on during the weekend. I was assured that there was no work on weekends. On Saturday morning, the jack hammers started quite early. When I called about this I was told that there was always work on the weekends and everyone checking in was warned about this. None of the three family members who registered for their rooms were told this. They offered to move us, which is nice but a hassle. When we checked around the hotel we found no floor that was noise free. In the end, they comped us one day’s stay, which was nice of them.

We also found that the electronic room keys failed on a regular basis—for three rooms for three days we had to get new keys 3-4 times. There was also considerable confusion about room charges. I cannot fault how friendly everyone was and how hard they worked to fix the problems, but these problems occupied a lot of our time, cost the baby sleep and was generally a hassle.

So in sum, an okay generic business hotel with a friendly staff but a lot of mis-information and many small hassles indicating that operating procedures aren't working very well.

This was a great Hampton Inn. I stayed on the top floor in a suite, and it was the size of a large apartment. There was a large jacuzzi tub and separate shower in the palatial bathroom. The bedroom was also large and the bed was so comfortable, it was hard to get up each morning. The living quarters were also nicely furnished. It had a kitchenette, but I didn't use it. I could have stayed here a month!

  • Liked — The bed was as comfortable as my own
  • Disliked — I had to leave
