This place was amazing. The spa treatments and service of the staff was incredible. The room was gorgeous. Our entire stay was def. worth the price.

We stayed at the Ballantyne for one day, the Friday after Thanksgiving. I was impressed that we checked in around 10:30 in the morning and they put us right in a room, no hassles.

Check-in was pleasant. The staff were all friendly ( the valet, doorman, baggage handlers, front desk clerks).

We booked by going directly to their website and getting a holiday special of 189.00 per night. Their price on the Ballantyne site was cheaper than any of the prices we found on other sites.

Room: The room was beautiful. It's a nice touch that when you enter the room the stereo is on a classical music station.
The beds are very comfortable. I am 5'2"' and my husband is 6 foot. It was a bit difficult for me to climb into the bed because it was a bit high, but the comfort was worth it.

The room has a great cooling/heating system.
The bathroom is gorgeous and luxurious. ( Marble floors, garden tub, separate glass enclosed shower.
The robes are comfortable and nice. The towels could be a bit softer but they were the typical hotel fare.
Turn down service was a nice touch, they turn the music back on and leave dark chocolates on the bed.

We did not use the spa or restaurants so we can't comment on those. We do plan to return again. We used this one night stay as a meter to tell if we would like to return and we definitely will if we can get a similar price.

I have been staying at the Ballantyne Resort since 2002 I guess. The resort is fabulous. Most of my meetings are downtown. It is about 20 minutes, depending on traffic can be a bit longer. The staff is great. There is a great little bar downstairs, good for a late evening drink after dining out.

Rooms have enormous Moldings, great beds, and decorated with charm. The only thing the room needs are flat panels. That is the only part that lacks, I am a Starwood Platinum member so get upgraded to the suites frequently...they are wonderful overlooking the golf course. I have played it 3 times, great course, in great shape as long as they don't go into a drought like 2 summers ago.

Tons of shopping and some good restaurants close by. Check out Villa for drinks...dark, fun little bistro like bar.

You will feel like you are home when you crash on your pillow.

Great resort.

Only stayed here one night for business, but was pleasantly surprised. The resort check-in was very quick and I was given a room on the 6th floor overlooking the golf course. The rooms are huge with two queen beds. Everything seemed new and fresh, including the carpet and paint in the hallways. The bathrooms are lovely with a spacious standup shower and a full size seperate tub.

The hotel has a spa which I didn't get to check out. Did frequent the gym which quite large for the size of the resort and they run morning classes for a small fee.

For those who would like a weekend golf getaway with a nice spa, this is a nice resort on the outskirts of Charlotte.
