This restaurant offers a variety of burgers, hotdogs, and short order items. Everything we tried was excellent.

“Fantastic Stop!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2012

Lunch here was great. I had a chicken sammy with some peanut thai thing and it was really good. The sweet potato fries also kicked!

“Great Food, Fun Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

Stopped in for an early dinner with friends. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I had the Tony Baloney sandwich($6) with fried squash ($2.75)as the side. Both were great. We ordered the Jalapinky's appetizer which was a big hit at our table. My friend had the Pterodactyl burger($7) with a side of waffle fries. Our server was friendly and attentive. I will definately return to this local dive! Located close to bank of america stadium.
Parking lot is small, other parking available across street.

“Deep Fried Squash to die for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2012

Funky little restaurant which was a former mechanic shop. Lots of true southern food - deep fried pickles, cole slaw, etc, but I went for the deep fried squash and it didn't disappoint. I could've eaten it all day! Excellent and crispy, not greasy. Yum! The menu mixes thai flavors throughout for a unique twist on burgers and sandwiches. Give it a shot!

“Out of the ordinary, and so is the food -- but needs a little work”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

I have to say that I went to Pinky's with a lot of expectations. The menu is outstanding. The decor is funky, edgy but not unfriendly. It's altogether affordable as well. Service was also really wonderful. At least five people visited our table at some point. Probably the best I've received lately!

I'll say again - love the menu. It's an eclectic mix of really well thought out items. However, after having a very good, but not great dinner there, I think the kitchen needs a little work.

Everything we ordered sounded tantalizing: jalapenos stuffed with pimiento cheese and breaded like corn dogs, fried pickles, Ding Dong chicken, buffalo shrimp tacos and Westside burger.

Jalapenos looked exactly like corn dogs without the sticks. But the pimiento cheese was flat, and the jalapenos were tough. Using plastic knives, they were hard to crunch. Probably should be blanched more. Fried pickles were good.

Sandwiches next. Ding Dong chicken was a great idea, but a little lacking in execution. Too much peanut butter, not enough honey-cilantro slaw. Westside Burger was overpowered by mild, heavy meat chili. Buffalo shrimp tacos tasted very fresh, but needed more buffalo sauce.

It could have been just an off night in the kitchen, but I feel that with a few tweaks, this would have been an excellent review. I'm more than willing to give it another chance, and feel like you should too.
