Beautiful hotel with incredible staff I stayed with a large group and they could not have been any nicer. If in Charlotte come stay here. The highlight to me was to only its location but the gym. An incredible gym facility. Stay here when visiting Charlotte.

We travel a lot and in our opinion this was our favorite place to stay of all time. We got a parlor suite, at around $600 a night, however you get what you pay for!! The rooms are a great size, master bath very nice. The bed, sheets, pillows first class all the way...best night sleep in a hotel ever. Will probably start using the Ritz for our hotel rooms now, because of this experience
Thank you

While on business in the Charlotte area my husband and I stayed at this hotel, We took the advice of others on Trip Advisor and requested a room on a high floor and away from the street, as the Epi Center can be noisy. We were on the 12th floor in the back of the hotel ( Room 1210) and it was as quiet as can be. We used the couresy driver's service to take us to a breakfast spot (The Original Pancake House...YUM!!) This hotel is great. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly. The room was spotless, and the bathroom is spectacular in size!! I loved the soaking tub and the television hidden in the bathroom mirror. The cost to lodge here is pricey but as with aything else, you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Get a room on a high floor and NOT in the front. The Epi Center is across the street and can be noi...

My husband and I visited the Ritz Carlton for brunch last Sunday at the Bar Cocoa. The food was terrific! The service was excellent!

We both had the Crab Cakes Benedict -- fabulous! I had the French Onion Soup and he had the She Crab Soup. Afterwards there were delicious pastries. How can you go wrong?

Prior to our stay, I read other reviews and was impressed with offers of extra touches. While ours was not the same experience, it was still a very professional arrival and check-in. We took the advice of another traveler and asked for a high floor in hopes of avoiding the referenced street noise. We were offered a room on the 12th floor and accepted it in the hopes of a quiet night's sleep. Unfortunately, we came home exhausted after our Friday thru Sunday stay as we got zero sleep. The noise did not subside until 4:00 am each night. Despite trying to drown out the street noise with the television, it was overpowering. The upside of the street noise is that you are conveniently located if your purpose it to party all night;)

If this hotel was in NYC, I would give it 4 stars. But in Charlotte, you have the Westin and The Ritz in terms of upmarket properties. Here's the quick down and dirty. It's new, modern, convenient, and the staff is polite. The rooms are very big considering it's a center city hotel. The bathrooms are also very large and have a TV built into the mirror. I believe the Dallas Ritz is another property that boasts that little surprise. In addition to coffee in the room, they have an instant expresso machine as well. The linens are standard Ritz frette sheets and the TV, Bose Radio, Nice Chair and amenities are what you expect for a AAA 5 star property. The offer small bottles of brand drinks in the room. I don't really drink, but I know $59 for a mini bottle of Grey Goose is a bit of "bad profit". But hey, if you need a drink in the desert how much would you pay for water? Valet is the way to go because parking is a nightmare uptown and worth the hassle. If you want to stay in a place where you wake up refreshed, this would be the place.

Room Tip: There are a lot of breakfast places in the close area....wouldn't recommend eating at the proper...

I've stayed at a number of different Ritz properties, domestically and internationally, and am a huge fan. The Charlotte hotel is a little off the standard. The staff is not quite as sharp and professional as I have experienced and the overall attention to detail is just not there. Don't get me wrong, it is still a lovely place to stay and I would not have made a different selection, but when you have become accustomed to universal brand perfection it is a little odd to have an experience that is 'less than.' It's the little things...First, three college aged (?) waitresses standing around the lobby lounge giggling, gossiping, and talking way too loud. It was a Saturday night at around 5:30 and there were only about a dozen people in the lounge area. One of the three expressed her disappointment with the situation..."My God, this is so sad in here!" Second, the linens on the bed are lovely quality and soft but don't smell nice. The Ritz is usually ALL about aroma. Third, no newspaper and no offer of a paper. Now, certainly I can ask for one and they will send it up but...that's not perfection. Lastly, and this is a REAL pet peeve of mine, there is a daily charge for WIFI...in an executive suite...really guys?!?

Room Tip: Stay away from the flagpole in the front of the building...it bangs all day and night!
