“still our favorite italian in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Another great visit to Villa Francesca. A great place before a Checkers game. Family friendly. The service is great - the wait staff is very knowledgeable. As within any cooked from scratch restaurant, it will take a bit longer to get your food than a chain restaurant. We love it here and try to visit regularly. The menu selection and prices are are reasonable and the Italian food is really the best we have found in Charlotte.

“Delicious casual Italian-good for a date or with the kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Delicious food right near TWC Arena -- well-priced, generous portions, flavorful. Whether you crave pizza or a pasta, you won't be disappointed. Ask for a 1/2 portion of the gorgonzola salad, great appetizer. Good for a date or out with family.

“A bargain for what you get”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Had shrimp francesce with a side of garlic bread and a good draft beer. Garkic bread was1/2loaf,sprinkled with fresh chopped garlic and came with marinara dipping sauce. Shrimp was cooked just right, not overdone and rubbery as is the case with so many restaurants, including those that should know better. Sauce was tasty but a little thick. Service was excellent and shrimp clearly cooked to order, although waiter displayed the common American tendancy to ask if everything was all right only when my mouth was full! Total bill, with a generous tip,was under $35.00

“Excellent food and service for a good price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

I went here with a friend who goes often. The server greeted him by name. The food tasted very fresh and was delicious. I had the chicken parm. The service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back.

“I really wanted to like this place but didn't care for it at all.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013 via mobile

Pizza was fair but not worth a return visit. The service was shockingly bad considering there were only a couple of other tables occupied. The worst part was that one of our group ordered the pasta special that came with canolli and coffee. When it was time to leave and the canolli had not arrived, we asked for it to go. The waiter came over and said that the owner would not let the canolli be taken to go. They asked that he eat it there and then offered the coffee to go but black only. No cream available. We are very disappointed because this is close to home and we really wanted to like it. There is a small chance that we will return and get a to go pizza just to give it one more shot.
