I checked in on October 26th with 9 other ladies. I do not stay at Hilton brand hotels and sadly a horrible experience at the Embassy on S. Tyron that very same day will keep me from staying in Hilton Branded hotels in the future.
The Hampton had nothing to do with the bad service given by the Embassy. The stay at Hampton was the most pleasant portion of my trip! After hearing of our horrible treatment at the Embassy, the front desk worked magic and fit the 10 of us ladies into the hotel, in 3 rooms right next to each other. The entire staff was helpful, confident and such a joy to work with.
That night I was in need of a pillow, and although the hotel did not have any extras left (one of the ladies with my group had taken the last extra one), their manner in expressing this and being apologetic about it was actually wonderful.
The next morning when I asked for a bar of soap, the staff was quick to assist and provide this to me, even though they had to stop what they were doing.
I did not get to experience the morning breakfast. The dining room was buzzing with people, but I just could not pull myself out the big comfy bed in time. Others in my group though said it was lovely and that everyone was so so very friendly.
Parking was super easy also. Plenty of spots to pick from.
The entrance is a bit weird as stated in a previous review. The signage is low. We ended up coming in the "back way" and drove right past it, however that was more our fault for watching the GPS instead of our surroundings. The hotel is tall enough that you can mostly figure out how to get to the parking lot easy enough.
The room was lovely. We had a total of 10 girls. We were given 3 King rooms. Each room had plenty of space for 3 or 4 girls to get ready for the evening and to spread out and sleep that night. There is coffee pots and coffee, with all the condiments in the rooms and TWO sinks in two separate areas both with counters and mirrors. The closet doors have mirrors on them also. This was important to us because of an earlier delay only giving 10 girls about 45 minutes to get ready for the evening. The king sized beds seemed to be on the newer side. Comfy, clean, with no distinct smells. The pull out couch worked just fine for the ladies who chose to sleep on them.
If you are allergic to down - make sure to ask for cotton pillows. The only ones stocked in the rooms are down.
Departure was very easy and our bills were slid under the doors super early that morning so that made checking out such a breeze. It was a little disheartening to actually leave.... we enjoyed our stay and the staff that much!
We were in a room facing the parking lot by the pool. We did hear the airplanes taking off that morn...
