This Microtel scores 5 stars for an exceptionally clean room. Stay was wonderfully uneventful otherwise.

Makes me wonder who stays here when the Charlotte Police check someone in with trash bags.

Lobby smells bad. Floor in elevator is ripped up.

Filthy chair in the room. Carpet is stained. Toilet dosn't flush.
Broken saftey lock. Roach traps in bathroom. Along with live roaches. Paper thin walls, can hear everthing in the next rooms. Seems to be a party place for young adults. Even in the halls.

They jack up the posted rate for "special" events they can't seem to tell you "what" that event is.

Not safe feeling area.

If you want to feel safe, clean and rested, Stay somewhere else.

The Microtel was clean, staff was generally nice (morning lady did nothing but talk loudly on her phone, however) and it was great for the price paid. Be sure to ask for the "out of towners" rate, $36+tax. Because it has interior corridors and is set a few feet back from the road, the Microtel is really the best option in the area if you're looking for a place to sleep for a few hours. Surrounding area is a little trashy, though, so stick closer to the city if you get scared by fast food joints and minorities.

This hotel has no class!! The owner and general manager is Arabic and he was a jerk. You cannot complain because the person who you complain to is the owner. The lady at the front desk had a nasty attitude with everyone. Not just my group, she was getting an attitude with other guests at the hotel. The maintenance man did not want to fix the toilets because he stated he got off work at 4:30 p.m. even though it was 6:15 p.m. and he was still there. All of the maintenance men were outside drinking beer and having a cookout in the parking lot!! Cursing and using bad language in front of our students! Yes, we had students ranging from ages 13-17. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The hotel is so bad that they have to get a cop to sit in the lobby at night! I HAVE PHOTOS OF THE MEN DRINKING OUTSIDE AND ROACHES IN THE BATHROOMS!!!
