I stayed here for one night recently when I had a flight from the Charlotte airport the following morning. This hotel is great for the purpose of being near the airport, and is generally a nice place as well.

Check in was efficient and room preferences for a high floor room (club level) were honored. Went up to the room and it was about what was expected. Separate living and sleeping area. Sleeping area consisted of a king size bed, along with some bedroom furniture and a flat screen tv. Living area consisted of couch w/ pull out sofa bed, chair, desk/work area, flat screen tv, and mini kitchen/sink/wetbar area. Very nice set up overall. Although there are other Renaissance properties with the Suites format, this is the first one I've been to. I liked the format, and it would be nice to see more of this type of offering from Renaissance.

Club lounge was well stocked with crackers, cheese, fruits, vegetables, dips, drinks, and some type of beef dish the night I visited. Attendant let us use her computer to print boarding passes for our flights the following day. Flight was very early in the AM, so I wasn't able to go back to the lounge the next morning for breakfast.

Very short stay, didn't get a chance to see/use the hotel pool, fitness center, bar, etc.

This was a nice stay overall. The only slight negative was the location. The hotel is great for being near the airport or the local office parks, but there isn't much in the way of shopping, dining, or entertainment close by. At least not that I was able to find. Also, they still charge the fee for internet access. Not a fan of that policy, but since so many hotels do it, it doesn't seem like it will be going away soon.

We competed in a soccer tournament and stayed at the Renaissance. The rooms were large and comfortable. Everything was clean and accessible. The hallways could have been cleaner (used glasses outside doors, etc). The continental breakfast was decent and the coffee was excellent.

I recently booked a weekend stay at this hotel. The check-in was nice and uneventful. The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and nicely updated. I ordered room service and the food was very good, and service was timely. The only problems I had with the room were the television remotes and lobby music. The TV remotes did not seem to work very well from the couch or bed, even after the batteries had been changed. Then the music from the lobby could be clearly heard inside of the living room area, which was a little annoying, however it could not be heard inside the bedroom which was nice. Overall the stay was nice and I would recommend the hotel to someone staying over on a business trip that does not wish to stay in the Uptown area.

Spent three days in Charlotte on business and I had a very nice stay at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites.

Location is great. Took less than 10 minutes to get from airport to the hotel at 5:00 pm on a Monday afternoon.

Hotel employees were friendly and helpful.

Room was very large and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable.

Only complaint from my stay was the quality of food from room service. Last night I orderded pizza an beer from room service against my better judgement. Beer was warm and pizza was terrible.

Next time in Charlotte, I will stay here. I'll just stay away from room service.
