“Business Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

Hotel was great other then the bed pillows were to small, and the breakfast is not worth the $10 (was well over cooked). The hotel staff is GREAT and be sure to visit the bar. The bartender was very personable and each night we were there, she was very tolerant of a group of 6 men that had worked long hours and were burning off steam having a good time.

If you like a great place to stay as a business traveler this is it. Dinner is great if you get Chef Dawn. What out for breakfast its a hit or miss depending on whos cooking. Bar atomsphere really great and good place to unwind.

We stopped at this hotel because it has an indoor pool and is exactly halfway between Orlando, FL and home. We stayed one night in a room with two queen beds during our return trip from Orlando.
We first noticed that the room had an unnatural amount of static electricity on the beds. My daughter (age 8) climbed in and immediately all of her hair stood on end. When my husband got in bed for the night, I could see little lightening bolts over the whole length of his body from across the room. It was very strange.
We left the hotel for dinner and returned to take a dip in the pool and spa. The pool was freezing! My daughter and husband got in, but my husband couldn't take it. We went to the hot tub and found that it wouldn't turn on. Since I was dry, I went to the front desk and asked if there was some trick to turn it on. A staff member came and fiddled with things until it turned on. He said it needs some kind of service when it hasn't been used in a while. It ended up being more of a luke warm tub. The water was nothing that could be described as "hot" and though it was tolerable to sit in (unlike the pool) it was not the relaxing experience we hoped for after a long day of driving.
Back in the room, we cuddled up to watch the Grinch on TV. The lights were off and there was a loud sort of pop that caused the lamp between the beds to flash. It was strange and none of us were sure we really saw it. After everyone settled in for the night, it happened again. The buzz/pop sound and then the lamp flashed. I couldn't fall asleep thinking about how the room was probably going to catch on fire. I got up and unplugged the lamp.
In the morning we hypothesized that the mini fridge (which was loud) was cycling on and causing the lamp to turn on briefly because of some kind of power surge. I told the front desk at check out. She said, "sorry about that."
We weren't there long enough to seek a resolution to this problem, but it really overshadowed our stay in what was a really lovely hotel. The room was clean and comfortable (except for how I feared for our safety from electrocution/burning to death).
Also, they need to heat the spa water. And the pool.

The hotel was okay but a sister property is across the street; just as clean and cheaper. The beds are very firm. The breakfast buffet is okay but not $15 worthy. If you don't turn on the side street before the hotel you have to go past and u-turn to get to the parking lot.

The building is gorgeous, you can tell it's still very new! Great location, with lots of things in the area to do; very quiet. The hotel staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful; especially Tony! I'll definitely be returning!

This hotel was very nice. The rate was reasonable. The public areas and rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was pleasant, but we didn't really interact much (not necessary). There were several restaurants within walking distance. One reviewer mentioned the strong perfume smell. It was pretty strong and could be nicely toned down. Otherwise, we had a nice stay.

Room Tip: This is a pretty quiet area. It's likely that all rooms are comfortable, private, and quiet.

My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel in September. Overall the staff was nice and friendly. The hotel was also very nice, the only problems that we had were that the hot tub did not work on 2 occasions although the maintenance man was on his way to "fix -it" It seems as though he never showed up. I loved the location everything was In walking distance and was a very nice neighborhood.

Room Tip: Ask for a front facing room, so that you can look out on the night life of the location.
