Pros: Good, Authentic BBQ
Cons: Quite a Popular Place - You Might Have To Wait
We had lunch at Jim 'N Nicks with some colleagues on a recent business trip to Charlotte. This was my third visit to this location, and each time I am reminded of how good BBQ is in the Carolinas.
While some at the table enjoyed a salad, I went for a pulled pork sandwich with fries and beans. The pork was delicious; juicy and full of flavor. The beans were also well done - not too think, with a nice pork flavor to them. The fries were well seasoned and crispy.
There were a few sauces to choose from on the table; I tried two and both were pretty good. We did miss having a mustard-based sauce, although we didn't ask the waitress for one, so perhaps it was just missing at our table.
All in all, the service was good, the BBQ was excellent, and the only downside might be that they can get busy; we passed a line of ~10 on the way out.
While there's no shortage of BBQ places in Charlotte, this was a great meal and I'll be back again.
