This place is lots of fun. It is a great place for small children, though all ages love it.

This place is not just a museum full of dead stuffed animals which many kids think are boring, but instead, is full of live ones! You can go into a room and find butterflies fluttering around you. You can go into another room and find live amphibians, birds, and rodents staring at you (through glass.) See what a live copperhead, or rattlesnake look like. Children might be excited to see an owl staring straight at them. They also might enjoy all the special exhibits that are for children where they can do fun things like crawl through "prairie dog" tunnels, creating their own puppet show, and many other activities.

Of course the Charlotte Nature Museum is nothing very fancy, but it is a beautiful and fun place to go!
