Quick and simple: Nice hotel, great location, accommodating staff, good service. And now, the BUT ... the cookies are the only thing you don't get nailed on here. You pay for parking ($10 a night), internet (come on, $13 a day for internet? Haven't we advanced to the point where you don't have to gouge for this anymore?), breakfast ($13 for the buffet and that's the cheap option), $3 for coffee in the lobby IF you're a Hilton GOLD member (alas, I'm but a silver, thank God there's a Starbucks across the street). Also, in regards to the rooms, would it kill Hilton to add a small fridge and/or microwave? Please? I was here for 8 days and it was tres inconvenient. But that would take away from the overpriced food in the downstairs restaurant. I was also fortunate to have a girls soccer team on the same floor and they spent the weekend partying and outdrinking each other. Not Doubletree's fault but it didn't add anything to the experience. Oh well. Nice Hotel. But stop gouging your business partners. My last stay at a Doubletree. Great job, Hilton.

As a Fire and Life Safety Inspector in another State, I was very impressed with the systems this Hotel provides. I would definately stay in this Hotel again. The best I have encountered. Thank you.

The only down side was that you have to pay parking daily.

Believe it or not, Doubletree at Charlotte gateway village have the most delicious chocolate chip cookie, and they give you a complimentary one when you check in. Located right in the centre of the business hub of Charlotte, North Carolina. Doubletree from the outlook of it (Before my entry to it), looked like a hospital to me. The hotel is very calm with not much happening there, but well connected and well placed to the eventful places in Charlotte.

My workplace wasn't faraway from Doubletree and the complimentary bus run by the Bank of America was a free and easy ride to get to work. As the evening sets into the night the Charlotte business centre area starts turning into the most happening place of party goers. By the evening the porch below the buildings turns into a live concert stage and every Wednesday is a young corporate gathering near by, which transforms into a great event to meet, greet and connect and may be a lilttle more. :)

The Doubletree hotel as I mentioned earlier is quiet calm and silent for a hotel in the city which is the host to Nascar car racing. The hotel has a decent gym, with not much frills in it and a small outdoor pool. Being on the Hitlon family of hotels helps you gain points for your stays with them.

I loved this hotel!! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful when we had questions. The price was a steal for us and I would DEFINITELY stay here again if ever in Charlotte. We were there for 2 nights and the only glitch was that on the second night, we had 2 new neighbors. One had a yappy dog and the other talked so loudly we felt that we were a part of their conversation, but you can't blame the hotel for the inconsiderateness of other guests.
