This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. We were in town for the race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice staff. When we went to our room, evidently the last guest had smoked a lot in the room we called the front desk and they were very apologetic and immediately gave us another room. We had no problem at all with the 2nd room and have no complaints at all. Breakfast was waffles, muffins, yogurt, bagels, eggs, sausage & Bacon, they also have cereal, milk, coffee & juice (apple & orange).

There are several fast food chains-Wendy's. Sonic. Jack in the Box & Bob Evans. There is also a shopping center about 1 mile away with a Lowe's, Wal-mart and lots of other stores. We will stay here again.

Stayed here during a trip to Paramount Carowinds. Hotel is very clean, good size suite, staff helpful and breakfast ok with the usual spread nothing fancy. Housekeeping does surface work (no vacum or kitchen work). The pool is very small and gets crowded fast. Plenty of places to eat near by, but nothing else in Charlotte. This is the second Amerisuites that I have stayed at and I definately like this hotel chain.
Great rate $70 per night - fed gov discount. Also, if you are going to Paramount buy tickets at hotel for $30 per person. Hotel claims that children under 3 are free which is false. Children under 2 are free. However it pays to buy the childs ticket at hotel because its 31.99 at the gate.

We ate at Bob Evans which was gross! ALso, read a few good reviews for Mert's Heart and Soul Uptown Charlotte - what a total waste. THe food was disgusting and I am being nice!

My husband and I stayed here a few nights in November due to relocation. We moved to Charlotte from Seattle and my husband had stayed here previously for business. To start the bed was terribly uncomfortable and my back and neck were killing me on night # 2, breakfast was less than tasty, I have definately had better. Let's just say thank goodness it was free. The room it's self was clean and my cat was welcomed and they were friendly, but on our last night there I was going to stay another night because our apartment was not ready and we came back to the hotel to find groups of people everywhere. I am still not sure if they were guests or friends of guests or what, but I did not feel comfortable walking around by my self. I ended up in our apartment anyway on the floor, that is how unsafe I felt. The staff did not seem to pay any attention to them either. I don't know about you, but when I am paying money to stay someplace, I want to feel like I am home. I want to be able to go to the snack machine in my slippers and not have to look over my shoulder. I have to say for the money, and the comfort I would stay elsewhere next time! Thanks for reading...Nicole, Charlotte,NC
