We stayed for a conference up the street and timed it with a family trip as well. The hotel was clean and service from the staff was excellent. We checked in when their computers were down but were still in our room in a couple minutes anyway. We requested and recv'd late checkout (for the kids) and they were very flexible with checkout time & offered to push it back even further than I asked. Our only complaints were minor: icemakers didn't work on 1st or 3rd floor and A/C in room had trouble cooling (-2 deg in 12 hours). I would recommend for a business stay and would stay there again myself. Not enough to do in the area for the kids though.

I recently stayed at this terrific hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind!!!! The breakfast was great, wonderful selection. The hotel was very clean, the rooms just great!!!! The pool was an added plus. This hotel is also pet friendly with no additional charge. I would NOT hesitate to stay here again. When it was time for me to check out, the desk clerk did not think the shuttle would be back in time (the other van was in for a minor repair) to take me to the airport. He did not hesitate to call me a taxi and give the driver a voucher. The stay at this hotel was just terrific!!!

The first impression of the lobby was very nice. Check-in was smooth, staff was friendly but new to the area so not very helpful with directions. Check-out went smooth, but staff could have been friendlier. Had to ask for extra towels, a blanket and a pillow 3 times before we got it. Breakfast was closing up before we got to it. Pretty nice room though. There is a warning in the room about taking valuable things out of your car, so it doesn't get broke in to. Good to have the warning but sad that you have to take Everything out of your car for just a one night stay. Seems that car thefts/break-in's are a problem in the area.

This was a comfortable place for my Mom and I to stay the night we arrived in North Carolina. It was a fairly quick drive from the Airport and easy to find. The rooms were basic but the beds were fine, the rooms were clean, and it had an in-room coffee maker. The hotel has a continental breakfast that includes make-your-own waffles, but we ate both dinner and breakfast across the street at Cracker Barrel. We don't have a CB in AK, so it was a treat to go there. The are the hotel is in is fairly quiet. Accessing the freeway was easy the next day when we headed up to Marion. Warning if you're driving- use a GPS. The roads in North Carolina aren't marked all that well as far as assisting you to your destination. When we were driving back to Charlotte from Marion, I didn't see a single sign on any highway that said "Charlotte X Miles" until we were 5 miles outside of Charlotte. Without a GPS, I would have been clueless.
