“Fantastic Pho!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

My husband and my son ate here while visiting UNC, and the food was wonderful! The pho was well seasoned and reasonably priced. Although it lacked spice for me, they had a chili paste that worked well as a flavor additive. They also have a decent fried rice dish, and tasty spring rolls. Although the location and decor weren't too impressive, the speedy service and modest prices are definitely sufficient enough to make us want to visit Lime & Basil again if we are ever back in the area.

A word to the wise-- The restaurant tends to get crowded as it opens back up for dinner- try and go as early as possible for optimum seating and service.

“BUT WHERE IS THE BROWN RICE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Whenever I come to CH I eat here my first night. It is very good Vietnamese food at a reasonable price. The service is generally good and the food prepared well. Portions are a bit small, but Americans need to eat less anyway. My one gripe - and I tell the staff there ever time- is that there is no brown rice. I live in NY and there is a choice for brown/white rice at almost every Asian restaurant these days. It is simply the right thing to do to give patrons the choice to eat healthy meals while they are out. So Lime and Basil, please add Brown Rice choice to the menu. And anyone reading this- when you go to L & B, please suggest they do the same. There is strength in numbers.

“Only Bubble Tea in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

While I didn't try the food, I was highly impressed by their decor and staff, as well as the menu, that they deserve another good review. The hours are different and it's in a small place, but the friendly and fast staff were charmers that made the wait worth it. The bubble tea is certainly the thing to get---just know they won't mix flavors but the single flavors, especially the coconut, are scrumptious and cold.

“Perfect for a rainy January day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Ate here while on a trip from out of town, and the meal was delicious. The menu was comprehensive, the servers polite, the service excellent, and the bill very reasonable. They even had a selection of imported beers to choose from. My only issue was finding parking, but the locals probably know the trick.

“Delicious broth”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Went here last night for Pho and we were very pleased. I thought that the beef broth was very, very good. I had "meatballs" in mine, in addition to some other meat, however the "meatballs" were more like sliced sausage. I will forego that next time, only because their flavor was unnecessary with the other dimensions in the bowl! We has their special summer rolls upon recommendation from our server and enjoyed them immensely. There were definitely some other interesting items on the menu- can't wait to try.
