We had been wanting to try Crook's Corner as it has a reputation of being one of the first "foodie" restaurants in Chapel Hill. We were surprised to see that the prices are fairly high and the menu has a limited selection. However, when the food came out, I was very pleased with my meal. I tried the Carolina Sampler and everything from the BBQ to the Hoppin' John to the peppered cornbread was delicious. My boyfriend got the Crab Calas and the jalapeno Mac and Cheese and was very pleased with both. Really, the only disappointment was the price. Service was decent and the atmosphere was adorable. We sat on the patio and were very pleased with the jungle vibe.
I would recommend Crook's Corner if you're looking for a staple in the Chapel Hill Community and don't mind paying a decent amount for dinner.
