My wife and I went for lunch and had the 3 course meal. Her first course of "Medjool Date Stuffed with Blue Cheese and Wrapped in Prosciutto, Crimson Lentil Salad, Balsamic Syrup" was as great as it sounds and the my lobster bisque was outstanding, even though I'm not crazy about bisque in general. I hesitated to order the shrimp and grits main course, since I've never had grits I liked, but I thought this would be the exception and it was. The sauces were very tasty and the shrimp was very fresh tasting. The desserts were equally inviting. Of course, that particular meal is expensive ($30 each), but if you want to treat yourself, this is the place to go. Their lunch buffet ($15) looked really good too and I think we'll try this next time we go. We live 30 miles away, so it's not in our backyard, but worth the trip. The atmosphere was elegant. The service was good - sometimes in a restaurant like this, the staff is constantly falling all over you, but Carolina Crossroads has a good balance in their service. They are there when you need them, but not hovering over you all the time.
