“Terrific Service During Graduation Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

Our party of twelve had a very satisfying lunch during a very hectic time. Service was friendly and professional and the food was delivered in a timely manner. We had sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Everyone was happy with their food. I enjoyed a bloody mary and my turkey club with a side salad was delicious. Highly rated if you have a large crowd and don't mind the noise.

“Poor form, trying to gouge the public!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

We had a reservation for 13 people on the Saturday evening before UNC graduation and Mother's Day. We frequent this restaurant at least once a week and enjoy the diverse menu and thought we would bring our out of town guests that were here for our daughters graduation. When we showed up there was a very limited menu and the prices were raised over 40% from the regular menu prices! I asked to speak with the manager to see if we could order some of our favorite dishes, he was very nice but said there was really nothing that they could do as the kitchen was only set up for the "special menu". I asked if the general manager was in and he asked her to come over to the table. When Emma the GM arrived she was a less than cordial English women from her very 1st words to us. I told her that we dine here frequently and wanted our guests to enjoy some of the usually broad menu offerings. I also explained that no mention was made of a limited menu either when we made our reservations or when they called 48 hours ago to confirm. She told us that we did not need to stay if we didn't like the menu, at which point I asked her where she could find us a table at a nice restaurant for 13 on a Saturday night? She offered to comp some appetizers and we really had no choice but to stay. The practice of increasing the menu prices by 40+% over a "holiday" type of weekend is a practice that I never thought I would see in Chapel Hill. Shame on you Georgios Bakatsias! What are you thinking allowing this to go on in your restaurants??

“Fantastic lunch menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

This was our first visit. We had salads that were outstanding (poached shrimp, blackened chicken cobb). Both were generously sized with fresh and very tasty ingredients presented in appealing arrangements with dressing that highlighted the flavors instead of masking them. Finished off with vanilla-ginger crème brûlée that was a little out of the ordinary and superb.

We are already planning to return.

“Great pizza and entrees”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Friendly neighborhood place with a busy bar and lots of great food. Noisy, but delicious. They have outdoor seating, but we didn't use it (too cold). Wood fired pizza was terrific.

“Wonderful food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Family visiting for a long weekend. We showed up without reservations and were seated quickly. The waitress was excellent and made us all feel at home. The calamari and octopus appetizers, both good sized portions, where gone in a flash. When our orders came out the two sushi orders were missing! Seems they were delivered to the wrong table and the folks liked the looks of them so much they kept them. Rather than leave the girls watching us eat, they each got a free small salad. Meanwhile the rest of us enjoyed excellent seafood and rabbit. The sushi was beautiful and delicious. My niece from LA swore it was the best sushi she had ever eaten. From drinks to sorbet for dessert, this was great food and fun time. So much so, they all want to go back they next time they are in town!
