“Not great but inexpensive”

Hampton Inns are the inexpensive properties within the Hilton chain. You can usually expect consistent quality among the properties. This one had a slight odor hint throughout (maybe from the popcorn at night or making all those breakfasts in the lobby) and even the room did not smell fresh.

However, the room was clean and comfortable. There was free breakfast in the morning that was definitely low budget. The exercise facilty was small with 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical machine, 1 bike and some free weights. Very cramped. A small outdoor pool is in the back. There is free wireless internet. Parking is easy and it is just a 1/4 mile or so from exit 290 from I-40.

Service personnel were friendly and helpful.

For about $95 with tax, it is hard to complain. But it is not better than a 2 star property.

I have certain expectations from certain hotel chains, such as Hampton Inn, and this property met them all. The location was convenient, just off US highways 1 & 64 and within walking distance to Western Wake hospital. There was ample free parking, and a chain restaurant (O'Charley's) immediately adjacent. The check in was quick and uneventful, the room was high quality Hampton and the breakfast, while eerily similar to that of every other Hampton Inn I've stayed at ("I think I'll have a number 6 today"), there was plenty of it - even with the West Point Volleyball team in the house. I have no complaints and give this Hampton excellent marks for what it is.

We stayed here on our recent visit to Raleigh for some golf. We chose the Hampton Inn in Cary on the basis of the positive reviews on tripadvisor. We were very pleased with the hotel. It is new and very clean. The room was comfortable, our king bed was great and we slept very well. It was very hot in NC and the ac worked great and was quiet. Nice pool , too. The front desk staff was friendly. Hotel is close to I-40, easy access. The price was very reasonable also.

My room at the Hampton Inn was clean, as was the bathroom, and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning unit appeared to be new and worked well. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide variety of choices...and was well stocked. There is a "free use" computer in the lobby. The checkin was friendly and professional. There is a large shopping area with a super market, a walmart, and a variety of other retailers literally across the street. On one of the night of my stay, the place had a large group of kids staying there, but they appeared to be well controlled and were not a problem. All in all, I would certainly return to this hotel as well as recommend it to others.

ridiculously low price bid on priceline got me to the Hampton Inn/Cary. GREAT location, GREAT service. They must have upgraded a bit since the last review 2 years ago. Now the breakfast is WONDERFUL, well attended, many choices, someone always out cleaning, refilling, etc. I wish they had a waffle station or soemthing but they have tons of selections and coffee all day. My kids loved getting hot chocolate thorughout the day. Different entrees each day (microwave) plus cereals, yogurts, breads, muffins, etc. Fresh baked WARM COOKIES every night at the front desk, and a real angel working at the front deesk named Nevada. She's AWESOME. maintenance was great, had several needs during a long stay, they were alays prompt. No problem getting a rollaway bed or refrig at no charge for many days. VERY NICE lobby area with plasma TV, comfortable chairs, etc.
The place is absolutely PACKED Monday through Thursday nights and it's hit or miss on weekends. Football weekends or HS soccer leagues sometimes made for busy weekends, others were sparse. I was there four weeks, they made it great.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
