“very good stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2011

Upon checking in, Scottie the clerk was helpful, smiling and very friendly. The hotel is of the older style Hampton yet it was clean, well furnished and very presentable. Rooms are clean and neat. Breakfast was what you expect fron Hamptons. We would stay here again.

I always stay at Hampton Inns simply because I love their beds. I don't normally sleep very well in hotels, but this hasn't been a problem with any Hampton I've stayed at. The staff was very professional and helpful. I will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Kevin is awesome!!! I called him with a concern TOTALLY unrelated to staying at the hotel, needing parent contact information for a student of mine. He graciously contacted the employee for me and spoke to her on my behalf, asking for her permission to let me have her number. I was in a desperate need to contact this parent, and he was my only means of assistance. Without his helpfulness, I would not have been able to notify the parent. This was above and beyond what he is required to do, and I think that it speaks highly of those who are employed and work for the Hampton Inn in Cary!

A good location, seems to have a lot of business and then family traffic. adjacent to Wakemed Hospital here. Across the street from Whole Foods and Lucky 32. good staff, older rooms, general HI quality.

I have spent many days at the Hampton Inn in White River Junction, Vermont, which I found to be a perfect hotel. So, that is my comparison for this Hampton Inn.

This Hampton is a bit run down. There was a big section of paint missing from the bathroom door. In general, it needs some maintenance.

The lights on the wall by the bed were bright, but did not swivel like the lights in VT.

There were no cookies available in the common area. The apples were tiny, wrapped in plastic wrap, and looked old.

The breakfast was really not as good as in VT, maybe because this hotel has fewer guests. The tables were dirty. The 2 waffle irons were covered with stuck waffles and has waffle mix, crumbs and burnt waffle all around them. Instead of having hot food available, it was frozen and microwaves were available for heating it. There were no hard boiled eggs. The VT Hampton had breakfast bags packed, ready to go. This Hampton had a sign for them, but no bags.

It was all OK, just not perfect and wonderful.

I stayed at this location while working in Cary,NC. Staff who checked me in,Connie, was very friendly, helpful and was able to change my room due to smoking preference. The room was perfect, had lots of coffee for my early morning the following day. I was PLEASANTLY Surprised, when I was leaving for work @ 5am, the breakfast buffet had already been set up, which wasn't supposed to be out til 6am. Thanks to all the staff, you get 2 THUMBS UP.

This isn't a place for a romantic getaway, but for an overnight business trip, it was fine. The breakfast left something to be desired (microwave bags of food and bad coffee, but they did have apples and bananas). The second day I went over to Whole Foods (2 minutes away) and ate from the hot breakfast bar. The bed was a bit mushy. Internet was great. A real plus in my book to have microwave and refrigerator in the room. Bathroom was adequate, but lacked ventilation, so mirror was complete steamed after shower--even with door open. Staff was nice. Economical choice for an overnight stay. Very close to highway, but still quiet.
