Knowing that my kids love sharks and love to fish, I booked a night shark fishing excursion. I was hoping that we would come back with at least one shark. My hopes did not come true. The trip was truly a nightmare. The water was very rough and choppy, so bad that people sitting on the upper most deck ended up soaking wet from the waves. I feel like the safety of my children, myself, and all others was in jeopardy due to how harsh the waters were. Several people were sea sick, which was evidenced through the deck rails being covered with vomit.
Upon returning from the trip, not one person had caught a shark, and only a handful of sea bass were caught (none of which were of legal size). I believe when you have 32 people on a "shark fishing" trip, at least one shark should be caught.
The only good thing about this trip was the first mate, Brandon. He continually checked to be sure everyone was okay and helped all with their fishing experience.
Overall, I think the trip should have been called off once we hit the ocean, as the waves were too rough to fish in.
