“Just as good as everyone says!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2010 via mobile

We stayed in a wonderful one bed apartment with full kitchen and living area, comfortable furniture and hard wood floors throughout and pine ceiling. Lots of outside areas - from benches to picnic tables to outdoor pool to grills. Ideally located next to Cape Hatteras lighthouse and beach (4 minutes away by car) and other beach choices within 10 minutes.

Extremely friendly staff that allowed me to use their own laundry facilities. All this and a skateboarding dog - who could ask for more?!

This hotel is great, as is the staff! We were happy to stay here with our two dogs and will be returning this August also.

We have gathered a group of friends with dogs for a weekend at the Cape Pines for the last three or four years. Bill and Angie are very accomodating of our needs. When we brought an older dog that had difficulty with the hardwood floors, they found a rug to put down for him. The pet rooms are of all different sizes accomodating our whole group in one suite for meals and the needs of different size families in others. The rooms are all spotless; not the typical pet rooms with wall to wall stinky carpet. It's not right on the beach, but is very handy to everything, including the grocery store across the road.

Stayed overnight with our pet. Place was really nice, clean and pet friendly. Manager was very nice and courteous. Rooms were immaculately clean. Not what we were expecting at all, pleasant surprise!

We stayed at the Cape Pines for 3 nights before our wedding. We stayed in the 2 bedroom efficiency room while many of our family and friends stayed in other cottages nearby.

The staff totally accommodated our dog and everyone was VERY nice, friendly and professional.

I was stranded en route to Ocracoke with a carload of pets when my car was caught in high water on hwy 12. I was towed to Cape Pines, where I, my cats and dogs got the warmest most cordial hospitality imaginable. We spent a comfortable, albeit unplanned night and day in a wonderful suite with sitting room and kitchenette with all the amenities. The people who run this quaint pet friendly place are the best people in the world. They were so kind and solicitous to me; I'll forever be grateful. If you're visiting the coast and want a taste of the neighborliness of the Outer Banks, stop over at the Cape Pines Motel in Buxton. It will not disappoint!
