We didn't know what to expect when we pulled into the parking lot. We walked in to find a counter with a menu posted above, where you order, which caused my expectations to lower ... but then I read the menu options. "Grilled local fish with caramelized onions and garlic mayonnaise" -- hm, that's not what I expect to order at a counter! We ordered, and found a table. The food was amazing! None of us normally rave about food, but all of us couldn't stop talking about how good the food was. After lunch, we spent a few minutes talking to the chef/owner, and he said that all the sauces are freshly made, and his focus is on local foods. Therefore, the menu will expand as the season progresses.
I don't think I've ever felt strongly enough about a meal to write a review, but we are still talking about the sandwiches we had at the Shipwreck Grill.
