We were hungry and thought it would be smart to stop before we got to the Hatteras lighthouse to get something to eat. We saw this place - as others have noted, which is shared with burger shop in the same building - and thought it was good enough. We were surprised by what we found inside! You walk in and there are two counters - one is Angelo's and one is Burger, Burger - they are separate places, so you'll have to pay separately, but was great for my party that had a vegetarian in the bunch. He ordered pasta from Angelo's - it was a HUGE portion, with yummy garlic bread. He didn't say much, because he was so busy eating it all (a compliment from him!). Meantime, the rest of us ordered from Burger, Burger. They have more "gourmet" burgers and hot dogs. I had the Carolina dog - stone ground mustard, chili, and slaw - WONDERFUL. My husband loved the cowboy burger - my son ate the whole super dog (just a basic with ketchup, mustard and relish). We split a plate of superb sweet potato fries (kind of like dessert). The staff was super friendly and helpful (high chairs are in the back, in the video game area). Prices were very reasonable. The place was VERY clean (no greasy, messy ketchup bottles!). It was a great find and we'd definitely go back!
