I recently stayed here for one night and everything was close to flawless. The room was spacious, had a nice view and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large and bright. They also had a large HD television which almost convinced me to stay in for the evening.

The lobby has a comfy bar and lounging area. There is a charge for the breakfast buffet that seemed slightly high for what was provided, but not outrageous for an upmarket hotel. In the basement there was a modest-sized gym with high quality equipment. There is also a pool/hot tub that was adjacent to the gym.

Service at the hotel was very friendly and I was lucky enough to have a panaromic view of the lake (from the 7th floor). Based on my experience, I am highly recommending this property.

Attitude means a lot and these folks want you to know they are glad you are staying with them and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. In the midst of a graduation weekend crowd at near by Elon, the Courtyard staff made points with this traveler. The crew in the breakfast bar area was as bright and upbeat as the morning sun. The hot bar was a bargain. My room was outstanding and on the back (quieter) side of the property as has been noted in a previous post. At checkout I even got a warm inviation to stay with them should my travels bring me back their way. A nice touch which says these folk have a great attitude!

Stayed here overnight on March 28 duing a visit to a Revolutionary War seminar. We were very pleased with the clenliness of the room and the friendliness of the front desk staff. The desk clerk offered us a room on the coutryard side (the back of the hotel) where it is very quiet. The facility is very close to I-40 and noisy in the front. The hotel is convenient to several chain restaurants so we did not have to get back in the car to find dinner. One interesting note: I have stayed in many Courtyards and this is the first one that had plastic glasses and styrofoam cups in the rooms rather than china and glass. Not very Marriott-like but a small thing in the overall scheme of things.

Stayed here one night while visiting nearby Elon University (8 minutes away). The hotel and the room was very well maintained. The bed, which I think were two queens, were very comfy to sleep in. The front desk clerks, who were both students at Elon, were very friendly. When they found out we were visiting Elon the next day, they provided us written directions without us asking. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Stayed at this property while returning from the NC beaches.
No reservation but staff was able to accomodate our adjoining room request. We were traveling with 5 children.
Friendly staff, particularly front desk.
Pool was closed which was disappointing.
The omelet chef was outstanding at the breakfast buffet, creating a wonderful omelet and keeping my potatoes and bacon warm on the grill while waiting for the omelet.
Rooms were large and clean, as well as, affordable (at least compared to similar properties in the Northeast).
