“Excellent Value for the Cost”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2012

Great location - close to whitewater rafting, Fontana Dam, Cherokee and a number of beautiful waterfalls. Hotel sets back off the road, making traffic noise virtually non-existent. Room was clean, quiet, nicely furnished, and more than adequate size-wise for two adults and two chilldren. Free breakfast was sufficient and greatly appreciated considering we were on a tight budget. Staff was pleasant and accomodating. Outside pool was always leaf and bug free. May not be a first choice for honeymooners, but would definately recommend for anyone else. :)

Extremely clean, comfortable room, excellent value. Loved the area, 20 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 Minutes to the Smoky Mountains and Tail of the dragon, beautiful roads! Ended up staying for 3 days, loved exploring the area and the staff was extremely helpful.

This is good value for the price. The room was a bit on the small side, but the shower was large, the bed (king) very comfortable, the room very clean. I loved the pillows; they are square, the perfect size, and soft. The room was quiet. I did hear a television for a brief period (about 5 mins) one afternoon but otherwise it was one of the quietest motels I've ever stayed in.
The breakfast was what I would expect from a Choice Hotel; good variety. There was coffee and juice; 2 kinds of cold cereal, a variety of instant oatmeal (my choice), a variety of breads for toasting, a variety of muffins and danish, make-your-own waffles (spouse's choice), yogurt (again my choice), hard-boiled eggs and fruit. Plenty of food available and an attentive lady who kept things filled and tables clean. Staff was friendly. We didn't use the pool, but it was clean.

Room Tip: No elevator, so be sure to ask for ground floor if stairs are a problem.

Found this hotel on TripAdvisor and based on the reviews decided to book a couple of nights for our home base to do the train ride and Cades Cove. Very happy with our choice. Wonderful desk chair and shower head! The staff were exceptionally helpful, location very good for the train ride, clean and all the amenities we needed. Price was very reasonable as well.

We were visiting the area to drive 'The Tail of the Dragon' scenic drive nearby, and thought Bryson City looked like an interesting spot to stay. After checking out tripadvisor's reviews, we saw the Sleep Inn was #1 and we fully concur. After finally finding it - GPS has you go the wrong way on Veteran's Parkway, we were very pleased with first impressions of outside, front desk, and our beautiful modern room. Bright, cheerful, stylish with a flat screen TV and a very comfortable ergonomic chair. We had a great sleep in the comfortable king sized bed and enjoyed the continental breakfast that was included. The staff were most helpful and friendly, and we will certainly stay here next time we're in the Smokey Mountains...

This motel is superb in every way; cleanliness, hospitable, comfort, price. It is a terrific deal and is new. The only drawback is the lack of an elevator, but just ask for a first floor room if stairs are an issue for you. The continental breakfast is par for a Choice Hotel. We took the train ride at 10:30 am and had to drive from Gatlinburg in the morning. We should have stayed in Bryson City here the night before, as well as, the night of the train ride.

Room Tip: First floor room if stairs are an issue for you; no elevator.
