“Stopped by on the way through on the motorcycles”

Great food. The prices were low. Ordered the chicken dinner and it was a half of chicken. The fried corn is worth a try, something different for sure.

“A blast from the past!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

NA-BERS is a drive-in restaurant with curb service that also has a diner and a dining room.
The menu is mainly fast food - done right! They are open for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and only accept cash - no credit cards. The forks, knives, and spoons were plastic, and the drinks were served in Styrofoam cups. Most of the food was served in a basket or disposable plate/bowl.
The fries and onion rings are fresh cut and prepared like you would at home as opposed to the soggy, greasy, and usually cold versions sold in the major fast food chains. My favorites include the roast beef sandwich and the BBQ beef sandwich. All of the sandwiches come with slaw, pickles, and tomatoes, which is a really nice local twist.
The ice tea is very good, but they also offer Pepsi products as well as apple and cherry cider, coffee, milk, and OJ.
The deserts are also very good and man sized. I really like the ice cream sundaes (only $1.65) with walnuts ($0.40 extra). They also apple, lemon, pecan, and cherry pies along with hot fudge cake.
On an interesting note, there were a wide variety of customers during our visit. There were Cherokee families, white water rafters, local couples and families, and folks just passing through.
And last, but certainly not least, NA-BERS has a fantastic view of the Tuckasegee River. You can eat your food on the river bank if you wish.

“First place I stop when I'm in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

Cheeseburger with slaw, pickles and tomatoes and a cherry-lemon mtn dew. This place has been a hometown favorite for longer than I've been alive and it's the best of the best in home made comfort food. My mouth is watering just thinking about that cheeseburger...

“Basic menu but great price”

They serve their burgers and hotdogs with slaw- then North Carolina way. Everything that we ordered was good. Don't miss the onion rings made from real onions.

“Nestled Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

This place is great!! The old drive up ordering and prices are great staff friendly and you don't wait long at all it was fairly busy when we went and still only waited 5-7 minutes. Highly recommend to larger families and groups and they also serve breakfast. I had pulled BBQ pork sandwich with their sauce and tomato and a little mayo it was so good had never tried it that way it is out of this world!! Really great food really great value very casual and laid back. I have been to Bryson City a lot and we just never seen it but we will be returning when we go back.
