“Good eats at Jimmy Mac's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

Neat restaurant on the outskirts of town. They have a diverse menu with many options. I chose a the Cajun burger which was solid but nothing to write home about. My girlfriend had a shrimp dish that was very tasty and they gave her the option of ordering the lunch portion which was plenty. Would gladly eat here again.

“Great dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

They have an extensive menu that at times can be a bit much, but the food is always good. One thing I like is there are always vegetables on the menu that come with dinner. The salad is great. I have never had a bad meal here. The trout is the best.

“Down home cooking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

We were looking for a good burger and found Jimmy Macs. The bison burger was delicious, the sweet potato fries perfect. It's definitely a very casual local flavor kinda place. The owner's son came over to talk to us and describe the different types of meat they use for burgers. All the food is cooked to order. Don't expect to get out quickly, but the wait for the food is worth it.

“2 words...PO BOY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

Po- boy sandwich was spot on. Service decent but it was busy and the place is small and cramped. Well be back.

“World famous burgers?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

We heard all about this place and were anxious to try it. The burgers were mediocre at best. We tried the Swiss and mushroom burger, the Cajun burger and a plain burger. All were not seasoned very well at all were just ok. My husband tried the clam chowder and that was a disappointment as well. It wasn't that anything was bad just that we have tasted better. Our waitress was very attentive and my sweet tea was perfect. We left here and drove to the Road to Nowhere which is right down the street, neat little Bryson City history there.
