Though El Ranchero's appearance may look a little "rode hard", we found good service, friendly patrons, and quite nice food that is Mex Mex. Not CalMex, TexMex nor NMMex, just good. I can understand another TA member's thinking it looked dirty, though it isn't. It's all dark wood and rough floors, but seemed OK clean to us. We tried the day's special pork enchiladas and a combo - one each of beef and cheese enchiladas, all with generous, well seasoned fillings. I particularly liked whatever cheese blend was used; more flavorful than anywhere else, as were their tortillas. Margaritas may have been a bit light, but were not overly sweet, which agreed with us. Frijoles were a little soupy; rice yummy with probably way too much butter blend than I should have! We would certainly return.
