“Excellent food, fabulous desserts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2008

You can tell the food at Jordan Street is prepared fresh and with attention to detail and quality. The desserts are no exception. - outstanding! The blackberry struesel tart is my favorite, and even though I don't like coconut much, the coconut cake is delicate and delicious. Don't leave before trying one of Sue's desserts!

“A nice, casual spot in Brevard - decent food, average service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2008

We ate dinner here on a Thursday night. We reserved a table outside in their courtyard out back. When we first stepped out in the courtyard, we were a bit concerned because there were 5-6 20-somethings sitting right outside the door hanging out and smoking. They weren't at a table, just sitting on a ledge and/or standing.

Our table was a bit away from them and the overall setting was okay - lots of plant and lights, but also some areas of clutter.

Service was quite poor - no one came by for approximately 10 minutes and it was another 10-15 minutes before we had our drinks (and when the drinks were brought out, the order was not correct).

Food was good - our table of four ordered a couple of sandwiches and two entrees. The sandwiches were excellent - and we "upgraded" to the spinach salad, which was also very good. The entrees were rated as excellent and good.

The nice thing about the menu is that you can order entrees or a sandwich/wrap etc. I really like this option, because some evenings you don't necessarily want a big entree.

Overall, based on our week in Brevard, this is one of the better places. While nothing outstanding, it had good food with a nice casual atmosphere.

“One of our favorites in Brevard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2008

My wife and I live near Brevard and the Jordan Street Cafe is one of our two favorites. No for a caveat - we rarely eat in the main dining room, preferring the bar side where they serve simpler but delicious fare from a bistro menu. My wife loved the mussels and I enjoy the wraps. The bar at Jordan Street is THE BAR of Brevard. The is the "Cheers" type bar where all of the locals come to chat over good beer, while the bars at other Brevard restaurants sit empty - odd but that's how it is. The bar/bistro side of Jordan Street is very crowded every night of the week, so go early or be prepared to wait. Eat at the bar - the locals are very friendly!

We have previously enjoyed wonderful meals in the main dining room and some less so. As with ALL Brevard restaurants, there is a good bit of variability. The last time that I ate their duck breast I classed it as the second best in the region.
