“Best I have ever eaten!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

We stopped by because we just love BBQ, could smell the love from out on the highway. It is a down to earth place that you would expect to see all your family sitting around eating and enjoying. I do a lot of smoking in the summer (we are in MI) and have eaten BBQ all over the country. This place HANDS DOWN WAS THE BBQ I HAVE EVER EATEN.! My wife and I got the "pig-out" because we wanted to sample as much as we could. There was so much food. If you like BBQ don't miss this place!

“O.K. BBQ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

BBQ is just average. Side items are about average as well -- slaw probably below average. This can be a fun place to go if you want to listen to live entertainment, hang out with a noisy crowd, drink some beer and have a good time. If you're going just to eat BBQ, it's just OK. Quick service, decent prices.

“This is a must for our visits to the hills...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Our student brought us here in the Fall for the first time and we've come back several times since. The food is good (I like the pork spare ribs) and priced well. I am not impressed with the wait staff, but I don't go there to make friends with the workers. We have to try seating in the lower level sometime. Upstairs is quaint, but the seats are hard-mounted to the floor and it's a tight squeeze for some of us bigger folks. Anyway, this place offers more plusses than negatives, by far. Go enjoy some!

“Great bar-b-que”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

This is a very casual restaurant with a basement with long tables for seating. They have live music upstairs at nighttime sometimes. The service is good, the barbque is delicious, try the chicken, and their hushpuppies and good and so is the corn on the cob. This is a place to go to kick back and eat a quick southern meal. It's popular, so you may have to wait.

“barbecue admosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Had lunch there with the family and was not disappointed in their food. Service was good and the atmosphere is what you would expect from a barbecue pit. Wife and I had their Chopped Beef barbecue and was very pleased with the tenderness and flavor. One son had their Turkey and it was very tender and flavorfull. The other son had their oversized burger and he was verrry pleased with the flavor and size. Really enjoyed our lunch and the price was really nice.
