We made reservations on line for one night during the week. We were hoping for snow since we were bringing our family and kids. The price was very reasonable for two rooms. We checked in at about 4PM. An hour later it was snowing. We were all happy.
Behind the hotel there is a perfect area for using sleds and making a snowman if you feel like it. We could see from our room window how the kids were enjoying the snow.
The hotel rooms were spacious and clean, with very nice pillows. The bathroom, even though it is small, it was clean and with a good supply of towels.
Breakfast was very good, good selection and a great pancake machine!!
The only inconvenience was that we had to walk to a restaurant while snowing because we couldn't drive our car.
We are definitely coming back soon.

everything is satisfactory at this holiday inn. They were very accommodating and we appreciated being able to combine a paid night with a rewards night. They had a great little hill behind the hotel that was perfect for our kids to sled, snowboard and build a snowfort!

We stayed here on the second night of a recent trip to the mountains. Great hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great room, great night sleep and great breakfast. The only bad part of the trip was how cold it was, but that is not the hotels fault.

The hotel is in a great location close to restaurants and places to visit and enjoy.

We stayed here two nights to ski at Appalachian Ski Mountain. The location is great - just a short drive to the ski area, to Boone, and to Grandfather Mountain (great hiking). Check-in was quick and friendly. No problems with the room: beds, pillows, linens were comfortable, and everything was clean. The only downside was the tub didn't drain quickly (I forgot to mention this to the front desk). Workout room is limited (3 cardio machines) but clean. The hotel had an updated look and comfortable feel. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with plenty of variety (hot pancakes, hot cinnimon rolls, hot meats, as well as yogurt, fruit, etc.). And as busy as it got one morning (so busy there weren't enough tables!), the staff did an excellent job keeping the breakfast foods and supplies stocked. Overall great experience; I plan to stay here again.
