“Fun time with great food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2014

Great time at The Trailhead in Blk Mountain. Sat at the bar to watch a football game and was a little disappointed in the TV size. But got use to it as the brews were great, the food was great and the service was great. Had a NY Strip special that evening and it was excellent. Burgers looked amazing and will be my next conquest there next time we're in Black mountain. Go and enjoy!

“MEAN 'N LEAN”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2014

Yes, my burger was simply 'mean 'n lean' with meat from local farms. It was huge, very tasty, the bun was a special one to hold that huge burger with bacon. The service was excellent, with a super friendly waitress; The place is visited by many local artists and musicians. Our waitress makes beautiful earrings. They dress sort of punky for my taste; however, that is youth today.
It is right on the main street of Black Mountain town. The college is within walking distance and it is right in the middle of the most quaint country stores.

“Good food, dog and vegan friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2014

Vegan options and dog friendly on the patio. The servers were really helpful.

Only issue was that you have to lift your dog over the railing to get them on the patio.

“Cool place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

We were looking for a place for a quick lunch and happened to run into one of the waitresses from The Trailhead while waiting to cross the street. She suggested a few restaurants. We decided to try her place and were very happy we did. Cool décor, friendly service and great food at reasonable prices.

“Very cool little place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

My husband and I went here for a night cap after having dinner. There was a cute little folky singer playing some music and the food smelled great. I wish we weren't so stuffed from our dinner because i would have loved to have tried something. They had a fabulous beer selection and once again, everyone was so friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Black Mountain area. Please eat some food and let me know how it is! :)
