“Fresh and fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

This was our first trip to this wonderful deli. The soups and sandwiches we ate were fantastic. Anything with goat cheese tops our list, so the hip chick and the fun guy were incredible. Have that with a cup of their roasted red pepper and tomato soup, and it's a match for sure! It was a wonderful place to eat after working up an appetite from hiking!

“Awesome!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

We were hungry and happened to find this place. The porkacheese and bruiser sandwiches were amazing! Goat cheese appetizer was also good! Service was down to earth, welcoming, and perfect. Can't wait to come back!!!!!

“They hit it out of the park!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Soon to be moving the this wonderful town, we are on a quest to sample each of the 30+ restaurants. Yet again, we were blown away with the quality and quantity of food at this establishment. The staff was extremely friendly and the food exceptional. I had the Bruiser which consisted of extremely fresh sourdough bread and enough shaved ham, turkey and bacon to feed a small family. Grab it and hold on 'cause once you bite in you won't be putting this monster down.... My partner had the Sweet Baby Jane which she stated was the Best Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato sandwich sandwich she'd ever had in her life....that's quite a statement for this BLT lover. If you get to Black Mountain, try this restaurant for lunch...you won't be disappointed.

“Wowza!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

My half Bruiser sandwich was so large I had to give about a third of it to my Sweetie! The Potato Leek soup was rich and filled with chunks of potato and leek. The unsweet tea I ordered was quite good. As though the meal wasn't enough of a treat, while we were there, we were offered homemade Peppermint Bark (with a chocolate ganache to die for and just the right amount of Peppermint) and a homemade cookie that was light and chock full of nuts and chocolate bits. I said I thought I had died and landed in Heaven. :-) Free Wi-Fi and very reasonably priced fare.

“Great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

We spent a week in Black Mountain recently at hit the Dark City City several times. When the weather is nice they have a wonderful outdoor patio. Food is always excellent - great sandwhiches and local brews. I love "The Dude" which has got to be most all time favorite chicken sandwhich with avacado, sprouts - matched it with a cup of homemade chicken & rice soup - yummy! Staff is always friendly and this is a fun place to hang out!
