One of my daughters has celiac disease so when we travel eating out can be problematic. On a trip to Asheville we stopped in Black Mountain. We had read up on gluten free options before we left so we started out immediately looking for this restaurant. Be advised it is not readily seen from the main street if you are on foot. And it has sort of a relaxed, dug into the hillside, kitchen vibe that smelled wonderful.
It is very small, the staff is very friendly. We seated ourselves and ordered the cheese platter which was lovely. Then we ordered the gluten free pizzas (the Rosa and Napoli). Both were loaded with cheese and other condiments. Excellent pizza. You would not have know they were gluten free from the taste. The sweet tea is good too (which is important to a Southerner).
Two gluten free pizzas, a cheese platter (sans crostini), and three drinks were $50.
We will go again.
