“Beautiful view and meal (and bakery, too).”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

After a day at Atlantic Beach and Bird Shoals, met rest of family for dinner (group of nine in total). Had reservations for 5:30 - restaurant was pretty empty. When we left it was full and very busy. The blackened grouper with pineapple salsa and rum glaze, a daily special, was awesome! My wife enjoyed the bacon wrapped filet. Had to take dessert to go, again (too full). Coconut pie, which I don't find very often, and key lime pie were both really good. Stopped and picked up a couple of cookies at the bakery on the way out. If in Beaufort again, will definitely dine here again.

“Ribs!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

Sat at the bar on a rainy day. Have a feeling that people mostly use the bar as a place to wait for their table but we like to eat there because it's often easier to get good service with the bartender right in front of you rather than having to depend on your server to come around. Ordered the ribs and the bartender seemed slightly surprized when I order the full rack. Turns out this is because they spill out of both sides of a giant plate...maybe 16 or 20 of them. Fortunately I was able to share them with my two buddies. They were really excellent. Different than I've had before but I'm from the north. Succulent with a thin glaze of sweet sauce. Highly recommend them.

“Excellent Food and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

After a very bad experience at Stillwater my family and I had decided to eat here the next night. A young man was our waiter and he was extremely polite and attentive. Our food was perfect. We will definitely be back.

“Great views and local seafood!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

Great restaurant for a special occasion with friendly staff. The menu is more on the pricey side but the taste is worth it! Great views and local seafood! They also supply coloring books and crayons.

“Good eats and peaceful harbor views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

Another very nice experience having a tasty summer lunch overlooking the Beaufort yacht harbor. There's always a boat or two floating by to liven the scenery - once in a rare while you may see the wild ponies on Carrot Island a couple of hundred yards across the harbor. The food is good with a reasonable variety for ashore town -- kid's menu isn't quite up to the rest of it, but so what. The service is exceptional - attentive without hovering, and if something needs to be corrected (which does happen) then it is without any big commotion. Really the only reason this isn't a 5, particularly given out-of-city standards, is that it is only a hundred yards from the Front Street Grille and Rhumb Bar. On the other hand, your kids are much more appropriate in the Spouter, and they have a fabulous bakery in the front of the premises from which you'd do well to acquire some fresh-made pastries.
