“Absolutely the top vacation rental in Beaufort, NC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2010

My wife and I have made many vacation trips to Beaufort over the past years. It's certainly a unique coastal village with lots of charm and plenty of activities. We have stayed at many of the B&B's, Inns, and rental cottages over the years; finally found 102 Ann Street! It is the top place to stay in Beaufort! Its owners have certainly made it into the perfect vacation home. Well supplied with soaps, linens, cookware, seasonings... every thing one might need. For activities there is swimming or fishing off the dock, kayaks, bicycles, walks to town, picnics on the porch; just a super nice home away from home!

we found the property to have all the ameneties of home. The kitchen was well supplied, the rooms were all very comfortable. We had plenty of room for our bikes and kayaks. easy water access. The best part of the apartment was the porch. Our sunset dinners cooked on the property's grill were increadable. We both already have reccomended 102 Ann to friends.

We've stayed here the past few years during the early fall. Just stunning! Live like a local if you wish or just hang out on the balcony. Very romantic sunsets. The kitchen is set up for gourmet cooking, gas stoves etc. The waterfront view from the front of the house is a harbor & channel right across from the Duke Marine Lab. So there's an endless parade of boats from yachts to shrimp boats cruising by. We even fished from the supplied dock and caught dinner a few times (you need a $5 NC Permit). If you own a boat there is slip space for it, if you arrange in advance. The owners provide many amenities, a nice gas grill, sea kayaks and bicycles. In fact, Corliss (one of the owners) bought a new bicycle for us the first time we were there because the rental shop had closed down! Beaufort by bike is a great way to see this beautiful town! We'll go back again and again!

In August, my husband, myself, and our 19 and 24 year old daughters wanted a long weekend before the girls were back in college. A friend of mine frequents the outerbanks and told us about a neat little town called Beaufort. I went on line and secured a room at an Inn in Beaufort, but continued looking for a cottage. Luckily, I found 102 Ann. It looked lovely on line, but most places usually do. I decided to take a chance. I spoke to the owner, Corliss Bradley, and immediately had a good feeling about the place. We could not have been more pleased with the place. It is so warm and inviting, as is the owner, and our daughters fell in love with the house and the town. The caretaker was a sweetheart. We truly felt like we were visiting the home of a dear friend rather than a rental unit. All the necessities were there at our disposal along with extras like wonderful Creme' Brulee coffee. We had the most wonderful weekend. The late afternoon views from the large front porch were breathtaking. We took advantage of the kayaks and paddled over to Carrot Island. So wonderful was our visit, in fact, that I called to see if by chance it might be open the very next weekend and it was!!!! We stayed the next weekend for a romantic getaway just the two of us and it was absolutely wonderful! We'll be back!!!!!!

One of our favorite destinations. We've been regular guests at 102 Ann in Beaufort, NC for years. With or without kids it's a great place to park the car and relax. Waterfront views like no place on earth. Strolling through this quaint seaside town is great fun--especially at night. Friendly people everywhere! The owners have taken care to provide every comfort so we pack only the basics. They even have an assortment of kayaks! History buffs will enjoy Civil War links to this historic home. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Our stay at 102 Ann for the month of November was a memorable delight. The house is charming.....not only for the location on the Intercoastal Waterway, nestled under the Cedar trees, but also the amenities that come with this charming house. From the well-equipped kitchen, to the unique built-ins for plenty of storage, to the large living/dining area with view of the water from every window. During our stay, we never needed a thing, the house is so well-equipped.....dishes, pots/pans, bedding, towels. Friendly caretakers on site to assist with any needs. We hated leaving when the month ended and we look forward to staying there again.

102 Ann St. What a fabulous place! The historic beauty of this house was inspiration alone and I love the pictures on the wall of its restoration. And sitting on the deck and watching the fireworks (my trip corresponded with a Beaufort event) couldn't have been better! I definitely had the best seat in the house not to mention the nightly sunsets I enjoyed perfectly positioned from the deck. The kitchen was a culinary treat equipped for a master chef. I did my best! If you want an amazing place to stay in charming Beaufort and within walking distance to everything. This IS the place!!!!! Thanks for the free wi-fi..... it's hard to cut off the business girl sometimes! I will be back!!!!!
