“Beautiful work here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Incredible pottery of all kinds, handmade jewelry and more.
It's a beautiful gallery that's quite large with 2 floors and beautiful work from local artists. They have a wide price range too, so you can get a great mug for $40 or more intricate pieces for over $100 and up. It's totally worth checking out and the staff is very friendly too!

“Worth a stop if you enjoy ceramic art”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Crimson Laurel looks small from the outside, but it is chock-full of incredible work. I don't think there was a bad piece in the place and there is a second floor just in case the first one didn't blow you away. Everything is well-ordered and displayed to its best advantage, an amazing feat given how much is in here. The employees (owners? they acted like owners) were helpful and knowledgeable and just plain nice. There's also some excellent handmade jewelry. Another reviewer mentioned the lack of local artists - Ken Sedberry was the only one I noticed - but given that people who end up in this gallery are likely to visit the studios of those local artists (and if not you SHOULD), this gallery complements rather than competes.

“Exquisite ceramics from non local artists”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

This gallery is for those seeking high end ceramics from distant artists. The variety is overwhelming. The quality is undeniablely top drawer. Go here if you are seeking high end ceramics that reflect the good taste of the owners but not for the work of NC Highland artists whose work is comparable.
