“Turkey Mountain-See NY Skyline”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Turkey Mountain affords one with a nice hike that can allow one to see the NY City Skyline on a clear day. Since I live nearby, I hike there often.
On crisp autumn days, the hike is especially enjoyable as one can see the foliage of the Hudson Valley from atop the mountain.

“Great place for a hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

It is a little park off Rt 118 that allows for a hike with either a flat or a hilly route: you could take a fast trip up the mountain (20 to 30 min) or an easier, flatter and longer route around it. Pick your season: during the summer, the trails are mostly in the shade; in the fall, the colors are vivid; and in the cooler months, the views are great as foliage doesn't get in the way. Irrespectively of the season, on a clear day, you could glimpse the Manhattan skyline. Dogs are not allowed (as there are snakes and other animals in the park), alas some people do bring their pooch. Enjoy the park - it is great!

“Nice place to enjoy the fall foliage”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

This park is a nice place to enjoy the fall colors. First, you should note that the location of this park is not correctly marked on Tripadvisor at the current time. Look for it on the map due west of Peter Pratt's Inn. The parking area can be a little crowded on a nice afternoon in peak foliage season, but people park along the access road. We always like to hike up the white trail, then back down along the blue: it's about 2 miles round trip, with several hundred feet of climbing to the top. It's a nice place to visit on a sunny afternoon.
